A Male dressed up as neighborhood legend Johnny Welly as section of a Jubilee extravagant gown topic of ‘British Icons Previous & Present’.
Soon after getting invited to the fancy dress party on Friday, June 3, Matthew Pape, from Laffak, said it did not consider him prolonged to think of who he could costume up as.
Johnny, whose real title was John Smith, died on Saturday, August 21 following a short sickness.
He was a significantly-cherished and properly-recognised character close to St Helens, with a lot of sharing hilarious anecdotes and touching tributes after his passing.

Matthew, 39, said: “When the topic for the Fancy Costume Jubilee Get together was ‘British Icons Past & Present’, I desired to imagine of anyone who no one else would be going as.
“Most went as intercontinental superstars but it didn’t take very long for me to realise there is one iconic encounter we, regrettably, really don’t see close to the town any longer, and that was the St Helens legend himself Johnny Welly.”
Following submitting his extravagant costume outfit online, Matthew has experienced 1000’s of likes and hundreds of reviews on his photo, many from persons who knew and beloved him.
Matthew included: “I thought it would be a terrific tribute to the male and hoped anyone would take pleasure in the thought but I in no way in a million a long time could have expected the reaction I’ve obtained.
“He was obviously a really effectively thought of person in the neighborhood. May Johnny Welly relaxation in peace, he was certainly one of a sort.”
